Central is in the midst of its best baseball season in history. Led by all-star pitcher Pete Roc and hard-hitting third baseman James Thun, Central knows it is on the way to a county championship. But the dozen players have bigger dreams. Their ultimate goal is to reach the national tournament.

 

During their successful season, they meet Jonas Davis. This stranger gives each player guidance on the field and off of it, and Central starts to play even better with Jonas as a mentor.
